Episode 16 - 10/1/2025 - Wild Card Game 1 - Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees

Pitching was the name of the game with Garrett Crochet vs. Max Fried.  
Discipline at the plate from Ceddanne Rafaela, astute base running from Nick Sogard and the pinch hit prowess of Masataka Yoshida but the Red Sox in the lead.
Aroldis Chapman came back from a bases-loaded, no out, bottom of the ninth to close it out.

The American League Wild Card is shuffling yet again!  The Red Sox continue to win to maintain their position as the Cleveland Guardians, the Detroit Tigers and Houston Astros hang on around them.
Game 2 of the Red Sox against Toronto is on 9/24/25 with Garrett Crochet, reaching a career high inning count this season, facing Max Scherzer.
The Sox have done well this season away from home which is helpful as they took 2 games from Tampa Bay over the weekend and the first one from the Blue Jays.
